Communication is key to any relationship - including business relationships. Most of us love surprises, but not so much in business. This onboarding process is our way of avoiding surprises, and defining what you should expect from us from start to finish.
Contract
Our contract consists of legalities and policies. Please read through, and ask us any questions. When ready, add your signature, and send it to tina@bluemonster.ca.
Retainer
When it comes to logo design and branding, we accept work on a first-come, first-server basis. This retainer fee holds your spot. It is non-refundable. It will be subtracted from the final invoice, alongside the deposit.
Proposal / Project Scope
Once we have the information needed, we will lay out the project scope. This requires a signature. Sometimes additions need to be made. In that case, we need to consider additional costs and add a supplement to the proposal.

Rebooking Fee
We work hard to meet deadlines. Just as you expect us to work for you in a respectable, timely manner, we expect clients to respond and communicate within a reasonable time as well. If a client drags out the process, and it begins to collides with another's clients work that is next in line, you will be asked to pay a rebooking fee and we will reserve the next available spot for you in order to continue with your project.
Cancellation or Rejection Fee
In the event of your cancellation of this project, or any delay of more than two months, we will invoice you for the greater of either:
- 1) all work completed up to the date of written notification, including expenses; or
- 2) the amount of any advance deposit made for this project.
Our Rate
Because each solution is customized, a flat rate for original designs is next to impossible. An hourly rate is much more suitable, since every project requires unique content, original layout, various images, etc.
We are highly proficient with our software, investing only the BEST industry standard equipment, to provide clients with quick turnaround and the highest of quality.
We're more than happy to offer free design estimates. Estimates are based on our experience spanning almost two decades and can vary depending on multiple factors during the design process. An estimate is never a final cost, but will allow our clients to gauge for a roughly budgeted amount (prior to any client revisions).
